Officially launched the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Award - VCA 2023

The award aims to honor outstanding digital content authors and works that have value in serving the community and contributing to the development of the digital content creation industry. Vietnam Digital Content Creation Award is an annual award given by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association - VDCA.

The award also receives sponsorship from media agencies such as: VietNamNet Newspaper, People's Representative Newspaper, VTC - Multimedia Corporation, Viettimes electronic Magazine, Information and Communication Magazine, Vietnam Bussiness Magazine, Theanh28 Entertainment, ANT Group, WOA Network, Tubrr.

In recent years, the explosive development of the Internet and cross-border technology platforms has created favorable conditions for the field of digital content creation to develop rapidly in both quantity and quality of content. Content creation has become a multi-trillion-dollar industry globally. In Vietnam, 2022 data shows that there are at least 20,000 employees operating in the field of content creation, with a revenue of up to 800 million USD. Movies, animation, online music, online games, audiobooks, comics, photos, content design, online education... are promising fields of the content industry.

The VCA Award was established to encourage the digital content creation community to create high-quality content products with profound cultural and educational value, bringing good value to domestic and international users. Thereby contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam's digital content industry, film industry, and cultural industry, contributing to the development of the country's digital economy. VCA also aims to help enhance the brand of Vietnamese intellectual products, spreading Vietnamese cultural values more widely to the international public.

Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) said: “VCA is organized with the purpose of promoting the spirit of work and dedication of organizations and individuals and encouraging innovation and creativity. create to develop many Vietnamese digital content products to reach out globally; contributing to making Vietnam a country with a strongly developed digital content industry."

Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong said the award is an activity within the mission and functions of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association.

Entries will be voted on in two rounds: Preliminary and Final.

The Chairman of the Preliminary Examination Council is Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association and The Chairman of the Final Council is Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan - Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association, Vice Chairman of the Central Council of Literature and Art Theory and Criticism.

The jury also includes representatives of state management agencies, association representatives, people's artists, distinguished artists, journalists, technology experts, education experts, and screenwriters.

With the scoring criteria publicly announced by the Organizing Committee, the Board of Judges will have fair and accurate assessments to select the most worthy names to be honored at the 2023 VCA Awards Ceremony.

VCA 2023 awarded to two Groups with 7 categories:

* Award group for digital content works/products

Category 1: Best Short Film

Awarded to works with clear messages, reflecting current issues, and having a positive impact on social life that are highly appreciated by the public. Demonstrate creative ability, have elements of culture, and high art, and apply advanced technology in product production and sales.

Category 2: Best Animated Film

Awarded to 2D/3D animated films with content that combines entertainment, and education, and spreads good values to the community. Demonstrate creative ability, have elements of culture, and high art, and apply advanced technology in product production and sales.

Including 03 awards: Outstanding Animated Film; Excellent script; and Excellent Set of Characters.

Category 3: Best Advertising Film

Awarded to TVC/advertising video products with unique ideas, applying the most advanced technologies in production, image building, and brand communication.

Category 4: Best Educational Digital Content Products

Awarded to digital content products serving education and training (e-books, e-stories, e-lectures, etc.) produced and developed by Vietnamese organizations/individuals, with intellectual content. Vietnam has made effective contributions to Vietnamese education and training.

* Group of Awards for Businesses, Organizations and Individuals

Category 5: Best Digital Content Creator

Awarded to businesses/organizations/individuals producing digital content established in Vietnam with outstanding production and development scale, and high efficiency in business and domestic and international audiences. The product is highly creative and groundbreaking, applying new technologies in the product development process.

Category 6: Star For Community

Awarded to businesses/organizations/individuals producing digital content established in Vietnam; have a legal representative in Vietnam or a Vietnamese individual; Foreigners with permanent residence cards in Vietnam have digital content products with positive content, high social significance, profound humanity, and spreading positive values to the Vietnamese community.

Category 7: Star For Potential

Awarded to Vietnamese businesses/organizations/individuals that have started a business for less than 5 years, owning typical products, services, and digital content, successfully conquering the domestic and international markets. There are potential projects/products that are highly creative and capable of breakthrough development.

Awards include: Certificate and Honor Cup from the Organizing Committee. As for the Best Animated Film award, there will be an additional cash reward given by Sponsor Sconnect.

The application period begins from September 12 to November 30, 2023.

It is expected that the award ceremony will take place on the last day of December 2023 in Hanoi.

In addition to self-nomination documents, associations, organizations, and state agencies can consider nominating outstanding organizations, individuals, authors, and works to the Award Organizing Committee to participate vote.
